First tip is exercise. If your period is scanty or is not bright red, it could be that the blood isn’t flowing the way it should. Moving your body or doing some form of exercise e.g. just walking a few times a week especially before your period starts, will improve circulation and help your blood to flow more easily. Warm water is another effective tip. Use a hot water bottle and place it on your abdomen just before your period or during your period, that will help.
Most importantly, even before your period starts, starting from today, try to drink lots of water, 7-8 glass cups of water a day and eat proper food and not snack on any junk food. Make sure you are eating properly. This might sound obvious but it does happen that as a result of work, you might forget to eat on time or eat the right foods.
